FAQS about Fees and Insurance

I offer free 20 minute video or phone consultations to help you decide if I am the right therapist for you.

What are your fees?

My rate for individual counseling is $130 for a 55 minute session. 

There are a limited number of sliding scale slots available. 

Payments can be made by credit, debit , or HSA/FSA card. 

Do you take insurance?

Yes, I accept some insurances through Headway.

I am in network with: Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Cigna , United, Oxford, Oscar, Quest Behavioural and Carelon Behavioral Health

If am not in network with your insurance provider, your insurance may provide some reimbursement for Out of Network Care. To help, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

What is your cancellation policy?

To cancel a scheduled Counseling session, a minimum of 24 hours notice in advance of your session is required. 

If prior and timely notice is not given, you will be charged $75 for your missed session. 

What if I can't afford your fees?

 I can put you on the waitlist and notify you when a sliding scale spot opens up…..

According to the No Surprises Act you are entitled to a good faith estimate of the predicted costs associated with treatment before commencing therapy. Client will sign a separate payment agreement depending on the rate determined for them. 

 (NOTE: Please be aware that if you have Medicaid insurance, your eligibility may be compromised by paying out of pocket to receive covered services. It is your responsibility to discuss this issue with your Medicaid provider).

Telephone Calls and Emergencies

I am available to return business calls between 9am and 5pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I do not provide 24 hour emergency coverage. If you have an emergency please call your local 24 hour crisis line listed in the front of your phone book or call 911. There is no charge for brief phone calls.  Calls lasting longer than l0 minutes will be charged on a pro-rated basis of my $110 an hour regardless of what you pay for individual sessions.  My policy for written reports requested by insurance companies, physicians, etc. will also be charged at my hourly rate of $110/hour unless very brief.

Additional fees that may be incurred throughout your care at Soulterra Counseling LLC:

Late cancellation/no show: $75

Medical records request: $130/hour

Completion of documents: FMLA, disability, summary letters, etc: $130/hour

Consultation (IEP meetings, coordination of care, etc): $130/hour

Subpoena (request to testify): $350/hour
